Regency Dress - gathered - gerafft - turquoise wool musselin

PI 460

Dieses Kleid ist blitzschnell fertig gewesen. Ich habe es aus türkisfarbenem Wollmusselin genäht, basierend auf dem Schnittmsuter Period Impressions 460. Von diesem Schnitt bin ich wirklich begeistert, es geht unheimlich einfach zusammen. Nur die Ärmel fand ich ein bisschen zu puffig, die sind von PI 464. Geschlossen wird das Kleid mit einem Bändchen hinten (verborgen) und 4 bezogenen Knöpfen. Das Futter ist aus petrolfarbenem Leinen und es gibt auch lange Ärmel dazu, die ich mal wieder nicht photographiert habe. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.

- I have finished another Regency dress, this time based on the Period Impressions 460 patternd. And i really loved sewing this one. It is so easy and turned out quite nicely, I think. I have replaced the sleeves thought, they were too big for my taste these are from PI 464). I have also made long sleeves but didn't take any pictures, of course... :) It is made of turquoise wool musslin and is lined with same coloured linen.

Addendum: Regency day dress - Tageskleid 1806

Dieses Kleid habe ich schon letztes Jahr im April genäht, aber irgendwie hab ich es ganz verschlafen, Bilder zu machen und sie online zu stellen. Eigentlich war es nur ein Probestück, ich finde es aber total süß, auch wenn das Muster vielleicht untypisch gross ist. ;) Nach Past Patters 031. Hinten ist mir eine Naht aufgegangen und die habe ich leider irgendwann schief wieder zusammengenäht, darum ist die Symmetrie etwas dahin, aber naja... so ist das eben. Das Schnittmuster an sich ist superschön, das Kleid ist aus weissem Leinen mit hellgrauem Blätterdruck.

Past patterns #031

- I had finished this dress about a year ago already but I hadn't thought of photographing and publishing it... sorry for that. It was only meant to be a sort of mock up of the pattern (Past patterns 031) but I really like the dress even thought there are some slips of needle... the back should be more symmetrical but well, it isn't. ;) The pattern is great though. The dress is made of white linen with light grey printed pattern.

Jetzt ist auch das Kleid aus traumhaft zartem Wollmusselin fertig. Es basiert auf Period Impressions PI 464. Dazu gehören noch abnehmbare lange Ärmel, die krieg ich aber nicht vernünftig photographiert. ...

- I have finished the new Regency gown (PI 464) in black wool musselin. Again, it is SO comfortable. :) there are also long detachable sleeves in black, but they didn't come out well on the picture so you'll have to imagine them. ;)

Victorian Silverado Corset

Ein weiteres Nähprojekt hat endlich Gestalt angenommen. Ich habe zum ersten Mal nach dem LM100 Korsettschnittmuster von Laughing Moon ein viktorianisches Korsett gefertigt und ich bin begeistert von dem Schnitt. Er geht wirklich einfach zusammen, grossartig! Die Grössenangaben sind etwas grosszügig, man kann locker eine Grösse abziehen... :) An der Puppe geht's nicht soweit  zu, wie in echt (squishability factor...), ich habe bei mir nur 1'' Lück.

I have finished another sewing project: the victorian corset. I used the Silverado by Laughing Moon patterns (LM100) and it went together really smoothly. Only sizes run somewhat large, in the end I went one size down to make it fit properly. In reality the gap in the back is only 1".

La Mode Bagatelle Spencer

Endlich ist auch der Spencer fertig geworden. Er ist aus schwarzem Baumwollsamt (der natürlich nicht so glänzig ist, wie es auf den Photos erscheint...) und er paßt der Puppe auch irgendwie gar nicht und sitzt an mir ganz passabel. Das Futter ist aus dunkelroter Baumwolle. An den Ärmel sind noch kleine Überärmel. Die Knöpfe sind auch mit schwarzem Samt bezogen.
Ich bin von den La Mode Bagatelle Schnittmustern nur mäßig begeistert. Ich musste recht viel ändern (weil sie wirklich unheimlich breit ausfallen, auch hier wieder 2 inch) und sie sind auch in der Schnittführung etwas gewöhnungsbefürftig. Ich finde die Regency Schnittmuster von Period Impressions besser, da kann ich allerdings nur 2 Kleider beurteilen. Für grössere Größen (so ab 40) ist La Mode Bagatelle wohl besser geeignet. Aber genug geredet, hier sind die Bilder:

  - I have finally managed to finish the Spencer following the patterns of "La Mode Bagatelle". I find the patterns run quite bit (widthwise) and the lines are a bit different, too. Personally i prefer Period Impressions patterns, as far as i can judge on them. Nevertheless, I find the Spencer turned out quite nicely (although I had to make soo many adjustments) although it doesn't fit the dressform at all. ;) I am trying to get a few pictures of me in the Regency garments taken.

das Empire Kleid ist endlich fertig. Es ist vorne überlappend und der Stoff ist ganz leichte Baumwolle mit eingewebten Punkten (sieht man schlecht auf den Bildern). Die Schnitte sind schön, fallen aber gross aus (Umfang), Oberere Länge ist eher kurz, da mußte ich gar nichts ändern.


The Regency dress is ready, it is the pattern for the crossover bodice by La Mode Bagatelle. The fabric is black with tiny woven dots, very light cotton. I do like the Mode Bagatelle patterns, the run quite large though (circumference was nearly 2 inches to big! and the length of the bodice seems to be somewhat short because I didn't have to make any alterations here and I usually have to)

Monmouth cap - Wollmütze

Pünktlich zum Frühlingsanfang ist auch die Monmouth cap fertig.
Ich habe diese Anleitung benutzt Monmouth Cap History and pattern und fand sie sehr gut. Die Geschichte ist auch superspannend und geht zurück bis ins 15Jh!
Auf dem Bild sieht man auch den charakteristischen Knopf obendrauf und die Schlaufe. :)

Just in time for the beginning of spring I have finished the Monmouth cap following Monmouth Cap History and pattern instructions. There is also  fair bit of information on the history of the Monmouth Cap as well as the pattern and pictures. Brilliant!

In the picture you can see the characteristic  little "button" and the loop!
