So, diesen Sommer sind ja gesmokte Kleider total "in". :) Und praktisch sind sie auch, vor allem wenn man ein kleines Baby hat. Ich hab bei Burdastyle ein kostenloses Schnittmuster gefunden, das ich unbedingt teilen wollte. :) Gesmoktes Sommerkleid

So, ich habe weitere Ottobre design Schnitte ausprobiert. Alle aus der OD 1/2012. Hier das Schürzenkleid "Home Sweet Home". Der Stoff ist von Hamburger Liebe "Frieda". Die andere Seite (es ist ein Wendekeid) ist ein Leinen/BW Gemisch mit einem Stickmuster von Urbanthreads , das Om Nom Nom Monster

Das Schnittmuster ist extrem einfach, ich habe trotzdem geschafft ein paar Fehler einzubauen (mehr "Husch-Husch" Fehler als vom zusammensetzen her... Aber naja... es ist dann wieder mal einzigartig. ;) Ich hätte z.B. auch drauf achten können, dass sich das muster in der vorderen Mitte besser trifft... ;)

I have made some more Ottobre Design patterns (they are all from 01/2012).
A little apron-dress called "Home sweet Home". The embroidery is from Urbanthreads , the Om Nom Nom Monster There are a few flaws because I was distracted in the dress although it is dead easy. (I could i.e. make the front middle match better patternwise) :) Well, another unique dress so to speak. ;) I do like it though. Om Nom Nom!!!

Another Minikrea pattern that I was trying to master... this time Buksedragt 10450.
The pattern is really easy. I have to admit I didn't understand a word of what the instructions said and just fiddled around... and it worked. ;) I really like the outcome. The size is quite ok this time... not so incredibly big as the last two... It went together really nicely, the upper part has a dotty lining, the rest of the trousers has no lining.

Diesmal hab ich mich wieder an einem anderen Minikrea Schnittmuster versucht... wie immer besteht das kleine Sprachproblem. Ich habe diesmal wirklich keine Ahnung gehabt, was die Anleitung mir versucht hat mitzuteilen udn habe das Schnittmuster nach Gutdünken zusammengesetzt. Hat aber auch funktioniert.  ;)
Ich bin ganz zufrieden mit dem Outcome. :) Auch die Grösse ist diesmal ganz gut, nicht so unglaublich zu gross wie die letzten zwei Schnitte von Minikrea.  Das kleine Oberteil ist mit gepunktetem Stoff (ausnahmsweise mal rosa...) gefüttert, der Rest der Hose ist ungefüttert.

Heute ist Feiertag (Fronleichnam) und nachdem es erst drückend heiss war, regnet es jetzt in Strömen und gewittert. Lucy hatte die letzten Tage so viel Tohuwabohu um sich rum, dass wir ihr ein paar ruhige Tage gönnen (und uns auch...) also habe ich wieder ein bisschen genäht. :)
Wieder war Minikrea dran, diesmal dieses Schnittmuster: Minikrea10401
Und ich habe wiedereinmal festgestellt, dass die Schnitte sehr gross ausfallen. ich habe wieder 56/62 genäht und der Strampler ist geschätze 10cm zu lang. Aber sie wächst ja....
Mit dem Überlappen von vorn und hinten bin ich auch drucheinander geraten... also vorn ist jetzt hinten, quasi... aber macht nix, denk ich. :) 

Today is Corpus Christi, a public holiday and after a few days of lots to do, we decided not to do anything (outside). So I've started another Minikrea pattern: Minikrea10401
Again I have found out, that the pattern is really big, I've made 56/62,  but I guess it is 5inches too long... luckily she'll grow into it...
 also I got mixed up with the front/back overlap so the overlap is at the back. But I guess it doesn't really matter.

Regency Blitzdress

In der letzten Sekunde habe ich doch noch ein Empire Kleidchen nähen "müssen" (für das Picknick in Ettenbühl http://www.landhaus-ettenbuehl.de/). :) Hier das Ergebnis! Ich nenne es "Blitzdress" weil es in 3 Tagen fertig war (und das, während ich "nebenher" Lucy hatte!)
Es ist so eine Art "freestyle" Mischung aus PP031 (vorn) und PI464 (hinten). Der Stoff ist dünne weisse Baumwolle mit "Bobbeln", vorne in 2 Reihen geschnürt. Hinten (davon hab ich leider kein Bild) sind noch 2 Wäscheknöpfe mit hellblauem Streifen. sichtbare Nähte des Oberteils sind per Hand genäht.

Blitzdress

On the last moment I "had" to sew a simple Regency dress... (for the yearly picknick in Ettenbühl http://www.landhaus-ettenbuehl.de/) ... here is the result. I call it the "Blitzdress" because it was ready in just 3 days (whilst attending to Lucy's needs, too...)
It is a "freestyle" mixture of PP031 (front) and PI 464 (back). :) it is made of light white cotton with small "bobbles". The front has two lacings, the back has 2 buttons as decoration (sry, I haven't got a picture...). All visible seams on the bodice are hand sewn.

mushroom body ottobre design 3/10 "hau hau"

I do love sewing for Lucy. :) It's superquick and as you don't need acres of fabric you can really go for those nice patterns. :)
I have followed ottobre design magazine patterns (03/10). And indulged in strange patterned jerseys and cotton woven fabric. :) Also it gives me the chance to get acquainted with my overlock sewing machine...

Ich bin total begeistert davon, Dinge für Lucy zu nähen. Es geht schnell, man braucht nicht viel Stoff und ich kann meiner Leidenschaft für eigenartig gemusterte Jerseys und Webware komplett nachgeben. Ich habe  die Ottobre Design (Ausgabe 03/10, ich habe eh so eine Schwäche für Finnland...) benutzt. Ausserdem gibt es mir die Möglichkeit, mit meiner Overlockmaschine warm zu werden... ein technisches Wunderwerk! ;)

Moustache body suit

Meine Näh- und Verzierwut macht wirklich vor nichts halt. :) Ich habe diese komische Vorliebe für Moustaches, natürlich nicht an Männern (zu kratzig! und irgendwie auch nicht richtig cool...), sonst vor allem auf Kleidungsstücken. Deswegen habe ich diesen einfachen weissen Babybody mit einem Bügelbild (einfach draufgedruckt und übergebügelt, mal schaun wie viele Wäschen er durchhält) verziert. Und der stolze Papa hat die Erwachsenenversion bekommen. :) Alternativ könnte man auch aus schwarzem Nickiplüsch eine Applikation fertigen... aber Bügeln ging einfach schneller. ;)

My sewing and decorating frenzy does not halt in front of Baby Lucy and grown up (Dads). I have had these transfer papers in my desk for ages (don't ask... I don't really know why...) and I couldn't resist to iron a fine moustache onto a body suit of Lucy and one of Papa Paul's T-shirts. I have this thing about moustaches... I really don't know why... I don't even like them in real life (i.e. on real male upper lips...). But I find them irresistable on shirts. Alternatively I was thinking about doing an application with velour/plush but ironing was just so much quicker. I am curious how long it will last...

patchwork baby blanket

Meine allererste Tat in Sachen Patchwork. :) Ich wollte auch gar nichts kompliziertes machen (dafür fehlt mir einfach die Geduld) - und ich bin mir auch nicht so sicher, ob ich mehr Patchworken werde... aber hier das Resultat. :) Ja, zugegeben, neben dem Examen, das mich von der Näherei abgehalten hat war ich auch ein bisschen schwanger und die kleine Lucy ist am 03 Mai 2012 auf die Welt gekommen. Diese Decke ist extra und nur für sie entstanden. :) Ich hab die Anleitung aus der Ottobe design Frühling 2012 entnommen. :) Und jaaa, ich weiss, die Einfassungen am Rand sind nicht schön... aber einmalig. ;) (mich hat die Geduld verlassen...) - der Schnitt und die Anleitung waren aber wirklich gut. Sehr empfehlenswert. Die Buchstaben sind von der Ottobre Hompage. Die Stoffe von der Vorderseite sind von Tilda. Die Rückseite ist türkisfarbenes Vichykarto, innendrin ist ein 4cm dickes (störrisches...) Polyestervlies.

My very first quilting experience... very simple and nothing uberspecial, but I don't have much patience for quilting so... I am quite happy with it... not sure whether I am going to do more, though. :) But this is the result. :) Yes, apart from my exams that kept me from sewing a lot more, I have been a little bit pregnant and little Lucy was born on 03 May 2012. So this blanket is of course made just for her. :) I have followed the instructions from Ottobre design spring 2012. :) and yes, I admit it: The binding is less than neatly done, but I just went out of patience... let's say it's   ... unique?! ... ! ;) Pattern and instructions of Ottobre were really good, it's highly recommendable.the letters are from the Ottobre Homage. The front fabrics are all Tilda. The back is turquoise vichy squares and the inlet is a 4cm thick fleece.

Daisy

Ausserdem hab ich dann noch nach einer Anleitung  die ich auf der Ottobre Hompage gefunden habe, eine Esel-Schaf genäht: "Daisy". Stoffreste sind was wunderbares. :)http://www.ottobredesign.com/

Also I've used some of the scrap fabric to make a donkey sheep called "Daisy". I have used a free pattern from the ottobre hompage for that. http://www.ottobredesign.com/
(see "print for free" and go a few pages back...) it went together surprisingly quick and easy! :)
